Unlike the <a href=\"https:\/\/keet.wordpress.com\/2025\/10\/02\/affordable-non-profit-publishing-being-thwarted-by-amazons-antics\/\">price manipulations by Amazon<\/a>, it is a persistent 16 GBP or equivalent in your currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That low cost is non-profit publishing for you. It does cost something to create the front matter and cover, run the servers, and the like, so it&#8217;s not for free. It would be nice if those costs can be recuperated by the publisher. This scheme assumes I don&#8217;t need to live off it (or: there are insignificant &#8216;royalties&#8217;) and you wouldn&#8217;t want to to know the amount of hours I spent on writing it and how much it would have cost otherwise.
